Larimore Fire Department issues harvest alert regarding combine fires

LARIMORE, N.D. (KFGO) The Larimore Fire Department is reminding farmers to take precautions against combine fires as harvest continues. Fire crews have responded to several combine fires over the past few days. The department says farmers should keep fire extinguishers on their equipment and regularly check for heat, dust and crop buildup. Farmers are also urged to call 911 as soon as they notice smoke or signs of a fire. The department says acting quickly can help prevent a small fire from spreading and protect equipment and crops.
